Many projects incorporate both post-tensioned and pre-tensioned elements. Construction of this people-mover used vertical and horizontal post-tensioned sections and pre-cast, pre-tensioned beams.
The SURE-LOCK® Strand Chuck consists of a chuck body, 3-part wedge, and a spring cap. It incorporates a bayonet cap to allow quick and easy opening, inspection, and cleaning of the chuck body and wedges. These chucks are normally used at the stressing end of a bed. Bayonet cap type anchors offer less likelihood of damage to the cap during tensioning.
The SURE-LOCK® open anchor chuck consists of a chuck body and 3-part wedge. Wedge segments are held together with an '0' ring. These chucks are very economical with few components and are often used on the non-stressing end of a bed.

The SURE-LOCK® Splice Chucks have two threaded chuck bodies connected by a center coupling, two sets of 3-part wedges, and two springs. Two lengths of strand can be connected while maintaining the strength of a continuous length. For example, remaining lengths of strand may be connected between beds minimizing waste. Chuck assembly is simple and safe.
All individual components of SURELOCK® Multi-Use Chucks can be ordered separately to extend the life of your chuck inventory. Wedge and chuck body brushes are available to make clean-up inspection fast and effective. They can be attached to any rotating power tool chuck and are uniquely tapered to effectively clean the inside of the chuck body. Chuck release tools and sliding hammers are also available.
Using the SURE-LOCK® Lubricating Fixture will extend chuck life. Several head sizes provide the correct lubrication - essential for ease of release and proper wear.
We offer dedicated technical support to distributors and end-users of our chucks, as well as on-site training for chuck safety and maintenance. These value added services separate us from suppliers that simply ship product.
